Liz Earle Cleanse and polish - Worth the hype?

Liz Earle Cleanse and polish 100ml - £13.25

Short answer, yes. For teen or young skin that is combination, it's perfection. Its creamy in texture and very soothing. When you rub it into your skin it dissolves your make-up and leaves your skin feeling really soft and clean, ready for applying your moisturiser. It's gentle so it can seem like its not doing much but for me it does what I need it to do without being overtly harsh, drying or really oily. The ingredients are good which makes me justify the slightly higher price tag. It doesn't wow, there's no frills, but it works.

On a side note it was so grey this morning, hence the grey photo!

Breakfast at Bills - Pancakes!

Wednesday is my lie in day as my lessons don't start until 11:30 – yay! My friend, Izzy, and I decided to catch up and have pancakes at a restaurant called Bills before heading of to  our separate colleges for lessons. I was so impressed with the food and the décor in the restaurant is amazing. This will definitely not be the last time I have breakfast there and I would really recommend Bills if you have one in your city!

Lots of love

How I achieve flawless skin ft Nars Sheer Glow

I never leave myself enough time to get ready and always tend to favour that extra 5 minutes in bed ( which I always regret when I'm rushing around trying to leave in time to catch my train!) As a result, I've developed quite a 'routine' when it comes to my make-up. It's tried and tested and it's never failed me.

Real Techniques contour brush, setting brush and expert face brush
I always start with foundation and my favourite is Nars Sheer glow (shade deuville). The coverage (medium buildable) and finish (satin) makes your skin look both flawless and natural. I've got some blemish scars and this covers them well. I then go in with concealer. Rimmel Wake me Up in Soft Beige for under the eyes. Its creamy and slightly orange toned so it cancels blue under eye circles well. I use Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection in shade 2 on any blemishes as it has a really high coverage. And finally, powder! I'm not fussy, the one I use, Rimmel Stay Matte in Translucent on where I get oily (forehead, around nose, chin) and it sets my make-up well, finishing off the flawless base.

I'm back!

Its been a month since my last post and so much has happened! I've started working, started sixth form and grown up a heck of a lot. I took a few months off blogging to relax, earn some money working and have fun but I can safely say I'M BACK! And this time I mean it.

For the last week Becky from Rose Petals has been working super hard redesigning my blog into something more 'me' and I absolutely love the result. She is so talented and was absolutely amazing. I'd highly recommend her and for all the work she puts in, she charges only £30! (Becky if your reading this, thank you so much!)

I've missed you all,

Only the best perfume ever -Bronze Goddess

So, it's been a while. 10 GCSEs down. One last maths exam on Monday. Then, Summer (Seriously resisting the urge to write summer multicoloured..I promise I'm 16 really) Blogging got put on hold but I can announce the start of lots of posts and it starts with this one.

My sole perfume. This is my signature scent - Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess £45 - and its a good'un. It smells like a Caribbean holiday; a mix of suncream, pina cola *stiffs bottle*, something sweet and something woody. A warm citrus.  Bottom line it's heavenly. If you want it,  you do need to act quickly because this baby is limited edition.

I hope you are all well and I can't wait to start blogging again!
Hugs and kisses

Stacking turquoise rings for £2.50

Stacking rings is a beautiful way to add interest to an outfit. It can be a bit tedious building up a collection of rings to stack with though. This pack from Primark for £2.50 is perfect! So cheap and you can stack different ones together, maybe mixing with a few plainer bands. It is such a good pack to buy if you do want to build a small collection to stack with (like me!).

Fashionista Juicy Apricot Blush - This is love

This photo doesn't really do it justice. I need to be in front of a window for my digital camera to be remotely effective and because of that it washes me (and the blush) out so you can't really see it. I need a Canon 600D!

Meet possibly the nicest blush in the world. It doesn't look like anything special and for £4 it's possibly the cheapest blush I own but it is by far my favourite. The two things that really do it for me are a, how pigmented it it and b, the colour. You need the tiniest amount of this blended out and the result is gorgeous. It just brightens. Its a lovely orange-peach colour, quite bright and perfect for spring. Its slightly chalky but honestly I don't think its matters. This is love.

I've had my haircut!

I've had my hair cut! I bit the bullet and went for a full fringe and so far I'm loving the change. I'm still working out how best to wear it, I'm thinking soft waves/curls through the ends and voluminous at the crown - otherwise it can look a bit helmet hair. I'm determined to make it work though. I might invest in some GHDs, a round thermal brush and some Oribe volume texture spray.  But for now my Remington straighteners and batiste will have to do. I really do NEED to get a job.

Little pieces of memory - Film Camera Photos

For the past 3 summers I've carried a film camera around with me and its a little bit of a tradition now. I love the retro feel with the vivid colours but the best part for me is the excitement of getting the photos developed because you have no idea how they will turn out. You can't take 100 photos a day with a film camera so every photo has thought put into it. Each photo re invokes a memory and even though lots of them aren't perfect, each one triggers a memory to a happy summer day and that makes me smile.
